Week 35 of 52 - 70's Hippy (Janis Joplin)

Janis Joplin was a 70's hippy, musician who played at the famous Woodstock Festival in 1969 - she was a wild woman with a unique voice. I tried to do a 'redo' picture of her here - what do you think? I could totally be her daughter right?

I didn't use a Janis Joplin song because I couln't find one that I really liked and thought that it would go with this post. So I used these amazing group of men! This song is just the best, its so feel-good and relaxing haha

Week 32 of 52 - African

Yeees i know its been really long since i last posted, since i've been away in the middle of cold South Africa with my family. That is where i've taken my last two Self Capture pictures (will be posting the other one tomorrow evening) I love South Africa! With all its beautiful weirdness! Freshly Ground is just great and this song has been my jam since i was like 10 !

Week 30 of 52 - Indian

I've never posted this late before, I was sick so I didn't have to do it in the week. This was fun to do, except I hate Saris , they are the most uncomfortable outfit ever! They are so beautiful though, my respect for Indian women has grown, you guys are heroes walking in those beautiful colors...

This music video is just the best! These guys are hilarious! This song will get stuck in your head..

Hope you all enjoyed this weeks post, it's a little weird but this was all on the spur of the moment. Chocolates and Cigarettes is one of my strange favorite songs..

Shooting this was pretty funny, believe it or not but that graceful field is right next to a busy road, so people were driving past giving us weird looks, but twas fun.

 Yes! I did Alice In Wonderland! I've been wanting to do this one for a while.... It was so much fun doing this one -editing and all. The film was very last minute I just happened to bring my video camera, so I was like, why not?! My mother helped me so very much with this all, thank you Joy- Joy.

Ahoy Mate! This was great fun to dress up as, as you can see it was themed very much as 'Pirates of the Caribbean', I look a bit like a girl version of Jack... I'm glad I did this one (Thanks Mici ! ) Although I've already done two very similar ones in my blog -'Autumn' (November) and 'Sailor Girl' (January) if you go and have a look at them you'll understand why I say this! Thanks Abigail for the props and such was a great help darling - And Edes, you're the beeeest!

Week 26 of 52 - Sci Fi

Yes! I did the 'Sci Fi' one - not sure if it looks that Sci Fi but yeah. (Thanks Tonya! It's a pity Asher couldn't be in the picture haha) I am supposed to be some weird alien girl.This Song by Florence and the Machine 'Spectrum' its pretty cool - But I've heard it SO many times, but this one is a remix, I quite like it. The words and such are quite spacy and Sci Fi to me so I chose this song...

Wish I didn't have to do this picture in such a rush! It was freeeezzing outside but obviously I miraculously coped..

Yeaaahh this a strange blog post! I couldn't make up mind what to do this week...and then Edes gave me some ideas! Thank you Eden! If you didn't figure out the picture already, I'm a character whose been brought out of her world and is obviously lost, with some of the writing left on her face. All this is all from the book\movie 'Inkheart'. If you've seen it or read it you would understand this. Ah yeah the song is quite old but I love it - It doesn't really go with the picture but I was stuck when it came to choosing the song so I chose "Bloom" ! 

As the viewer of this its your choice to make up your mind on who I am in the picture ...

Please Note: I only came up with the idea just before i took these rushed pictures, so I'm sorry for the
um unpolished-ness of it!
